Louis Rogé, who produces music as Brodinski, released his debut album, Brava, earlier this month—a trappy, raw, collection that does exactly as the artist says he hoped: “I want to put some soul back into club music, to have it show more of my feelings.” It’s heavy on guest stars, and to say there’s a pattern would be an understatement: 11 of the 13 tracks feature Atlanta-based rappers. (Yes, Young Scooter, ILoveMakonnen, and Shitro are all there, and so are Bloody Jay and Chill Will.) “It’s what inspires me,” he says, “and I want to create a link between every kind of music that I love.”

A highlight of the record, and an absolute trip of a video, is “Us” featuring Bloody Jay. The artist says the video is about how even when you’re on the other side of the world, “you can discover that even there you don’t feel alone.”
