Hannibal Buress, known for his stand-up comedy and appearing as Ilana’s sex interest on Broad City, is getting his own show: Comedy Central has greenlit eight episodes of Why? With Hannibal Buress, produced by Buress himself, Jeff Stilson, and Dave Becky.

In addition to being a series regular on Broad City, Buress also co-hosts Cartoon Network’s The Eric André Show and has appeared on multiple other comedies including web series High Maintenance and Comedy Central’s The Kroll Show. His one-hour stand-up special, Hannibal Buress: Live from Chicago, aired on Comedy Central in March 2014.

Why? With Hannibal Buress will include a mixture of stand-up, pre-filmed segments, candid interviews, and special guests, seemingly following the format of Inside Amy Schumer, another Comedy Central show. Why? is set to premiere in July.
