If you’re among the many people—including EW’s Darren Franich—who are waiting anxiously for a Dredd sequel, don’t lose hope.

Adi Shankar— the man behind Power/Rangers and a producer on 2012’s Dredd—detailed what exactly it would take to finance a sequel in a new YouTube video.

Among other complicated reasons (it involves a formula), the producer explains how important international appeal is, and that they might be able to make Dredd 2 if they got a big star.

“Maybe we pair Karl Urban with another movie star who boosts the value of the film,” he suggested. “Maybe we get The Rock in and save the f—ing the franchise, because The Rock f—ing saves everybody’s franchise.”
