'Garfunkel and Oates' canceled by IFC
IFC’s Garfunkel and Oates will not be returning for a second season, the network announced Tuesday.
The half-hour show featured Riki Lindhome (Garfunkel) and Kate Micucci (Oates), following the “aspirations and misadventures” of the comedic duo as well as spotlighting their careers in singing satirical and often dirty songs.
The series, which was eight episodes in its first season, was produced by Abominable Pictures and executive produced by Lindhome, Micucci and Jonathan Stern. Garfunkel and Oates’ cancellation follows the annulment of IFC’s The Birthday Boys in January.
