  • Jessie Usher (Survivor’s Remorse) has been cast in Independence Day 2. Usher will play a central character, who is the son of Will Smith‘s character from the original film.   • Adam Scott and Toni Collette have joined the Christmas-themed horror movie Krampus. The film is about a family that is attacked by a Santa Claus-like ancient entity who punishes bad children. Scott will play the father, a workaholic and absent dad who has to step up for his family. Collette will play the mother, a woman who pretends everything is perfect with her family but will also have to dig deep to protect her family. Allison Tolman will play Collette’s sister-in-law, while Emjay Anthony is playing the son. The film is looking for a spring shoot in New Zealand. [The Hollywood Reporter]
  • David Denman will be playing an elite sniper named Boon in Michael Bay‘s 13 Hours. The film is a political drama adapted from Mitchell Zuckoff’s book about the 2012 attack on an American compound in Libya, which left U.S. ambassador J. Christopher Stevens dead. The story centers on a special forces team that attempts to rescue him. John Krasinski, James Badge Dale, Max Martini and Pablo Schreiber will also star.
