The YA-novel-film-adaptation game has gotten intensely competitive over the past few years, and the competition includes their soundtracks. Coming just a few months after the Lorde-curated companion album to The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1, the soundtrack to the Divergent sequel Insurgent drops March 17, and, like its predecessor, it features some interesting collaborations between up-and-coming artists. The lead single “Hole in the Sky” pairs buzzy family band (and recently anointed Friends of Taylor Swift) Haim with French masters of atmosphere M83, resulting in a tuneful but powerfully chill anthem.
