Kelly Osbourne is leaving E!'s 'Fashion Police'
Kelly Osbourne will be leaving E!’s Fashion Police, the network announced on Friday.
“Kelly Osbourne is departing E!s Fashion Police to pursue other opportunities, and we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers. Fashion Police will return, as scheduled, on Friday, March 30th at 9:00 p.m. and no decisions have been made on her replacement,” the network said in a statement.
This announcement comes days after comments were made by Osbourne’s Fashion Police co-star Giuliana Rancic regarding singer and actress Zendaya’s dreadlocked hair at the Sunday night Oscars.
On Monday night’s episode of Fashion Police, Rancic said, “I feel like she smells like patchouli oil and weed,” about Zendaya’s hair.
Osbourne reacted very strongly to the comment on social media, tweeting that she might leave the show because of it.
Zendaya posted a response to Rancic’s criticism of her dreadlocks on Instagram on Monday night, after which Rancic issued an on-air apology to Zendaya on Tuesday.
Following the apology, Osbourne tweeted it takes a “strong” woman to apologize.
