ABC Family renews 'Baby Daddy' for fifth season

ABC Family has ordered a fifth season of its original comedy series Baby Daddy, the network announced on Friday.

This announcement came just as the comedy had finished production on the season 4 finale, which will air at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, on ABC Family.

The series, which centers on the lives of five friends who all pitch in to help parent one friend’s unexpected baby, was recently nominated for a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Cable TV Comedy.

The series, from Sabrina, the Teenage Witch producer Dan Berendsen, is the network’s second longest-running series behind Pretty Little Liars.
