The Cat in the Hat and Shrek have both been on Broadway, and now Spongebob might be headed there as well. Following reports from its upfront, Nickelodeon confirmed to EW that a SpongeBob SquarePants musical is being developed for a potential Broadway run.

Musicians like Aerosmith, T.I., Sara Bareilles, Lady Antebellum, and John Legend are providing original music for the show, which is being directed by Tina Landau, whose production of Charles Mee’s Big Love is currently playing at the Signature Theatre.

Nick’s upfront presentation included a performance of the show’s opening number titled “Bikini Bottom Day.”
