Looking star Jonathan Groff is joining the cast of The Public’s critically acclaimed, Broadway-bound production of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton starting March 3.

Groff takes over for Brian d’Arcy James in the role of King George. James is starring in Broadway’s Something Rotten!, which starts Broadway performances March 23. Though Groff has since found success on TV and in film, his breakout role came when he starred in Spring Awakening on Broadway, in a role that nabbed him a Tony nomination.

Hamilton, written by star Miranda, will start performances on Broadway July 13.
