'Broadchurch' will return for third season with stars David Tennant, Olivia Colman

ITV announced that it has commissioned a third season of Broadchurch after the second season wrapped Monday night in the U.K.
Stars David Tennant, as Detective Inspector Alec Hardy, and Olivia Colman, as Detective Sergeant Ellie MIller, will be returning for the next season, ITV announced Monday.
The first two seasons of the of the series, which explores what happens to a Dorset community when it becomes the focus of an investigation, achieved a consolidated series average of over 9 million viewers.
Season 2 of Broadchurch will have its U.S. premiere on BBC America on March 4 at 10 pm ET.
