Pop-punk’s widely considered the kind of throwaway music you get into in your teens and early 20s before moving on to more serious fare, but Colleen Green’s a grown-ass woman who’s continuing to find new levels of depth in a style that often tends toward shallowness. That’s not to say her music’s not fun—I Want to Grow Up, which comes out Tuesday on Hardly Art, is a fizzy sugar rush that pulls from a spectrum of snotty acts ranging from the Muffs to Jay Reatard.

Her new video for “T.V.” is a love-hate letter to a form of media that’s more dependable than a lot of actual people, but can also be thoroughly ridiculous a lot of the time.
