Want to see 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'early? Go to India
If you live in the United States and want to see Avengers: Age of Ultron, you’ll have to wait until the film’s May 1 release date. That’s usually how movies work. However, different countries often get different release dates—and as of late, other countries are getting American movies even before the U.S. Like India, for example—the Avengers sequel is going to open there a full week earlier, on April 24.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, it’s Disney’s intent to make Avengers: Age of Ultron the widest Hollywood release yet in India, complete with multiple regional dubs to complement the English release.
If India is a little far for you, Ultron will also be premiering in the U.K. that same week—and while it may seem strange that a movie featuring a guy that literally dresses up as the American flag isn’t opening in America first, keep in mind that Disney did the exact same thing with the first Avengers film. They are Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, after all.
