Zack Snyder tweets first image of Jason Momoa as Aquaman
Maybe we won’t be able to make fun of Aquaman anymore.
Zack Snyder tweeted the first image of Jason Momoa as the underwater superhero who will debut in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and you can laugh at your own risk. The Hawaiian-born Game of Thrones actor with the wild mane and fierce brow holds a trident and wears full-body Maori-like tattoos that blend in with his armor. “There is only one true king #unitetheseven,” Snyder adds in his tweet.
The hashtag “Unite the Seven” associated with someone like Aquaman might seem like a reference to the “seven seas,” especially since Snyder is calling him the “only true king.” But another possibility is the franchise’s mission to unite the seven original members of the Justice League: Aquaman, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Martian Manhunter.
Aquaman is getting his own standalone movie in 2018, one year after the first Justice League movie.
