Jaimie Alexander has been tapped to star in NBC’s drama pilot Blindspot, EW has learned.

The Thor actress will play Jane Doe, a mysterious woman who finds herself at the center of an investigation after climbing out of a duffel bag in the middle of Times Square with her memory wiped and no clue as to what the extensive tattoos on her body mean. Her discovery sets off a vast and complex mystery that immediately grabs the attention of the FBI, who begin to follow the road map on her body to reveal a larger conspiracy of crime while bringing her closer to discovering the truth about her identity.

Alexander, whose TV credits include Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Covert Affairs and Nurse Jackie, can next be seen in HBO’s summer comedy The Brink, which also stars Jack Black and Tim Roth.

Martin Gero will write and executive-produce Blindspot with Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.
