So far, Jamie Dornan is best known for his work as a serial killer on Netflix’s The Fall, and of course, as Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey. But on Monday, Acorn TV—a British TV streaming service in North America—will premiere a new mini-series, New Worlds, in which Dornan plays an old-timey outlaw.

In New Worlds, which is set in 1680 during the aftermath of the English Civil War, Dornan plays Abe, an idealist who wishes to help the poor. But when he tries to rob some members of Britain’s high society, he ends up kidnapping a woman named Beth, played by Freya Mavor. Taking her into the woods, he tries to enlighten her on how the poor live. The twist? He ends up falling for her.

Below, watch an exclusive first look at the four-part period drama, in which Abe tries to convince Beth to join him in the struggle for justice in England and the American colonies.

New Worlds premieres Monday, Feb. 16 on Acorn TV.
