Drea de Matteo has landed a guest-starring role on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., EW has confirmed.

The Sons of Anarchy and Sopranos alum will play Karla Faye Gideon, a gifted woman with a grudge to bear against S.H.I.E.L.D., who joins forces with Skye’s father, Cal (Kyle MacLachlan). Daredevil fans may recognize the supporting character name, though in the comics, Karla did not possess any powers. It’s all connected?

“We’re thrilled to have Drea join us as yet another great villain to challenge our cast,” executive producer Jeph Loeb says. “We relished the opportunity to work with her in such a menacing role.”

De Matteo’s casting follows the recent announcement that Tomorrow People star Luke Mitchell will play an Inhuman who has an important role in Skye (Chloe Bennet) understanding what’s now happening to her.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns Tuesday, March 3 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
