'Agents of SHIELD' casts 'Tomorrow People' alum as new Inhuman
Luke Mitchell has joined the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in a recurring role as a new Inhuman, EW has confirmed.
According to Marvel.com, the Tomorrow People alum will portray the charismatic Lincoln, who has an important role to play in Skye (Chloe Bennet) understanding the true extent of her transformation.
“With the revelations surrounding Skye’s true identity in the winter finale, we knew we’d be introducing more Inhumans as our story progressed,” executive producer Jeph Loeb says. “The charming energy Luke brings to the role that will make him a character to watch as we continue our season.”
Lincoln is not among the Inhumans we know from the comics, though Skye wasn’t initially revealed to be a comic book character either until it was uncovered that she is both Daisy Johnson, aka Quake, and an Inhuman, so time will only tell if he’s actually a familiar face or not.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns Tuesday, March 3 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) assembles a team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to handle strange new cases.
