In their regular gigs, Anna Mayberry makes harshly dissonant rock music in a band called HSY that hearkens back to fetid heroes of the early goth scene like Alien Sex Fiend, while David Psutka produces sprawling ambient electronic compositions under the name Egyptrixx. When they team up, though, the results land in a much different area, at the overlap between folk music, synth psychedelia, and drone.

Credited to Anamai, their upcoming full-length collaboration Sallows is intensely spooky but equally engaging, and the perfect musical accompaniment to your next deep-woods occult forest magick ceremony. The LP drops Mar. 10 on Buzz Records.
