HBO is teaming up with Lorne Michaels and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon duo Diallo Riddle and Bashir Salahuddin for a new pilot titled Brothers in Atlanta.

The comedy will center around struggling entertainers and best friends Langston and Moose as they try to navigate relationships and life in the “black Mecca” of Atlanta, according to HBO. Riddle and Salahuddin are set to executive produce, write, and star in the pilot, with Tim Story on to direct.

Riddle will play Langston, a native to Atlanta who’s described by HBO as “an aspiring DJ whose career has stalled due to his lack of focus and his get-rich schemes.” Salahuddin will play Moose, the new guy in the city, described as “a perennial backup singer with dreams of the spotlight, who keeps his foot in his mouth.”

Maya Rudolph and Jaden Smith are set to guest star in the pilot, with Rudolph playing Shirle, Moose’s boss and an “R&B diva whose heyday was in the 90s.” Smith will play Curtis, a “New Atlanta” teenage who also happens to be Langston’s neighbor “with unpredictable interests and suspicious income.”
