The return of Outlander is still all too far away, but Starz has taken pity on fans eager for more Scottish warfare and romance by releasing the first scene of the upcoming episodes. The scene, while not revealing much by way of plot, will please Jamie lovers: Executive producer Ronald D. Moore explains in an introduction that the episode is told from Jamie’s perspective rather than Claire’s.
In the scene, Sam Heughan’s kilt-wearing leading man skips stones and talks about his life. “I’ve always known I’ve lived a life different from other men,” he says. As the scene goes on, an obscured woman approaches him. It ends fixed on his intense glare.
The show comes back April 4.
