“Wait for Your Love,” from indie folk auteur Bay Uno’s forthcoming album Catalina (out March 10), is a tender song built around fingerpicked guitar and a delicate horn arrangement, so the video—in which Uno walks the streets of New York City in a series of glamorous robes violating social norms to an extent that’s notable even in New York City—is a bit tonally jarring. But it’s also incredibly satisfying to watch someone blaze that far out of bounds. Anyone who’s ever been tempted to shove a street musician aside and wail on their Casio in front of a stunned audience should be able to relate.
