Co-writers Michael Godere (The Affair) and Ivan Martin hand in solid performances as out-of-work actor buddies trying to bang out a screenplay in 10 days. Apart from welcome doses of Marisa Tomei as Godere’s sister and Sam Rockwell as her unhinged boyfriend, though, this comedy from director Adam Rapp (X/Y) doesn’t have much to offer. A snappy start gives way to an unfocused second half, which devolves into a walking tour of indie-film clichés that make the 80-minute run time feel overlong. C+
