'Parks and Recreation' ratings up
The final season of Parks and Recreation returned higher in the ratings Tuesday night.
On a new night and airing in a one-hour block, the seventh season debut of Parks delivered 3.5 million viewers and 1.5 rating in the adults 18-49 demo. Those numbers aren’t exactly great for a premiere and Parks ranked fourth at 8 p.m. But its demo rating is up 15 percent from last season’s September debut (and a whopping 50 percent from last season’s finale).
Parks was also higher rated than any other comedy last night — such as Fox’s New Girl (1.4) and Mindy Project (1.1), and NBC’s own Marry Me (0.7) and About a Boy (0.9)
Unfortunately for Agent Carter (5.1 million, 1.5) over on ABC, Marvel’s newest lavish heroic series tied NBC’s small town comedy in the demo. The second week of Agent Carter was down 21 percent compared to its semi-soft premiere. Yet given how weak the competition was (those aforementioned Fox and NBC comedies), Carter still managed to win second place at 9 p.m.
