Jason Bateman, who recently made his feature directorial debut, is going to star in a film that’s another actor’s first stab at directing. Bateman has signed up for Joel Edgerton’s upcoming film, EW has confirmed.

Deadline first reported that Bateman has joined the project, which Edgerton wrote and will produce and direct. Edgerton will also act in the film alongside Bateman and Rebecca Hall. Per Deadline, the film’s plot revolves around a husband-wife couple played by Bateman and Hall starting life in a new town only to have someone from their past emerge.

Bateman made his feature directorial debut with last year’s Bad Words. Edgerton has written and directed shorts, and wrote the screenplay for Felony, which starred Tom Wilkinson.
