Matt and Kim return with club jam 'Get It' and announce a new album
- Music
Infectious indie-pop duo Matt and Kim has returned. The pair will release New Glow, their fifth LP and first since 2012, on April 7. To drum up excitement, Matt and Kim also posted a clubby new single, “Get It,” posted above.
The group’s previous hits were sometimes childlike, but “Get It” sounds readier for dancefloors with overpriced drinks and way too little good judgment. “At 1 a.m. / oh yeah / god damn, god damn / We don’t want to go home,” Matt sings, nailing the vibe with his signature late-night-text-as-earnest-chorus flair.
