Shameless has been renewed for season six, Showtime boss David Nevins announced at the Television Critics Association’s winter TV previews.

Hot on the heels of its season five premiere, Shameless was picked up for a 12-episode sixth season. “The viewer loyalty and critical acclaim over the last five seasons has made Shameless one of our signature series,” Nevins said. “This incredible collection of writers and actors have created a show truly unique in the television landscape.”

Additionally, the network also announced a series pick up for Happyish, which will debut its 10-episode season on April 26 at 9:30 p.m. ET. The series, which initially starred Philip Seymour Hoffman before his death, follows Thom Payne (Steve Coogan), a man whose life is thrown into disarray when his 25-year-old boss arrives and he must attempt to rebrand himself.

Happyish will follow Nurse Jackie’s final season, which debuts April 12 at 9 p.m.. Penny Dreadful will follow the new series at 10 p.m. starting April 26.
