No stranger to the Golden Globes, Julianne Moore took home her third award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her role as Dr. Alice Howland in Still Alice. With this win, she beat out fellow nominees Rosamund Pike, Reese Witherspoon, Felicity Jones, and Jennifer Aniston.
Onstage, Moore thanked filmmakers Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland for making a movie about a middle-aged woman and for allowing her to be a happy person, which her mother always defined as “someone who had work and love.” Moore then thanked her family for giving her that love.
