The final season of Fox’s Glee started on a very low ratings note Friday night.
In its new night, Glee opened to a mere 2.3 million viewers and a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49. Any show shifting to Friday night tends to coincide with a ratings drop (last season aired on Thursdays), but that rating is down 65 percent from last season’s premiere. It also stood as the lowest-rated regular episode for a series on a major broadcast network last night; obviously, it’s easily Glee‘s weakest premiere ever. Even ABC’s Cristela (6.7 million 1.3) kicked Fox’s musical comedy to the curb.
One highlight from the two-hour opener: Lea Michele singing “Let It Go” from Frozen. You can see that scene here and be sure to check out EW’s Glee recap.
