Do they teach budding directors how to shoot a killer pumpkin at film school? Maybe they should start, given that’s just the scenario British filmmaker Neil Marshall (The Descent, Game of Thrones) faced while overseeing his segment of the new anthology horror movie, Tales of Halloween. Due to be released this coming Halloween, the film comprises ten interconnected terror tales, with other participating directors including Lucky McKee (The Woman), Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, III & IV) and the delightful Mike Mendez (Big Ass Spider). The ensemble cast, meanwhile, features Pat Healy, Barry Bostwick, Noah Segan, Booboo Stewart, Greg Grunberg, Clare Kramer, and Alex Essoe (so good in the recent Starry Eyes) with cameos from filmmakers Joe Dante, John Landis, Adam Green, and Stuart Gordon. Also? Escape From New York star Adrienne Barbeau!!! (Sorry, I just get very excited about anything which involves Adrienne Barbeau.)

You can see how Neil Marshall coped with his violent vegetable problem in the exclusive video diary above.
