A drama that George Clooney will executive produce about a movie studio in the 1990s has ended up at Showtime. EW has confirmed that the network has given The Studio a script commitment with a penalty.

Rescue Me‘s Peter Tolan, Clooney’s producing partner Grant Heslov, and Foxcatcher director Bennett Miller will also executive produce, alongside Clooney, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The show reportedly follows the two men heading up the studio who are “are best friends who struggle to maintain their humanity while they stockpile power, fight off irrelevance, and mercilessly f–k over anyone who gets in their way – including each other.”
