'Gilmore Girls' star Edward Herrmann, 71, has died
Emmy-winning actor Edward Herrmann, who starred as Richard Gilmore on Gilmore Girls,has died, according to BuzzFeed. He was 71.
Herrmann’s acting career took off in the ’70s, when he performed in such movies as 1974’s The Great Gatsby and 1978’s The Betsy. While continuing to appear in films like 1987’s The Lost Boys, Hermann branched out into a successful television career that earned him an Emmy for his guest role in 1999’s The Practice. He was nominated for four other Emmys for his roles on Eleanor and Franklin and St. Elsewhere. Herrmann most recently appeared in The Good Wife in 2013 and Black Box in 2014.
