The Los Angeles County District Attorney declined to charge Bill Cosby after a woman claimed he molested her when she was 15, according to reports.

The Associated Press is reporting that the DA decided against filing a misdemeanor charge, for annoying or molesting a child under the age of 18, because the statute of limitations had passed. According to prosecutors, the statute of limitations for a felony sex crime committed in 1974 was three years.

Judy Huth sued Cosby on Dec. 2. In the lawsuit, she claims Cosby invited her to the Playboy Mansion after they had had “many drinks.” There, she alleges, he tried to molest her. Huth met with detectives in Los Angeles the same week she filed the suit.

According to the AP,  Cosby’s attorney is claiming that Huth attempted to extort $250,000 from Cosby before she filed the lawsuit.
