Fourteen years after his last album, Voodoo, D’Angelo looks to be ready to return with Black Messiah.

D’Angelo’s management agency shared a short trailer for the album on Thursday.

No official release date has been revealed—the video says only coming soon—but a picture purportedly of the album’s CD case has surfaced claiming the album releases on Dec. 16. The case also credits the artist as D’Angelo and the Vanguard.

There had also earlier today been an RSVP page set up for a New York listening party on Sunday Dec. 16, sponsored by Red Bull Music Academy and Afropunk, but that link is no longer functional. Pitchfork has also spotted posters promoting the album popping up around Brooklyn.

A representative for D’Angelo did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
