'Arrow' shoots to highest rating ever
Oliver should hang out with Barry more often. The CW’s Arrow just shot to its highest rating ever for the conclusion of its crossover with The Flash.
Arrow had 3.9 million viewers and a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49. That’s the show’s biggest demo number ever and the show’s second most-watched episode ever behind its series premiere.
The spike helped The CW beat Fox’s Hells Kitchen (1.2) in the 8 p.m. hour, though CBS’ Survivor (2.1) was tops.
Also Wednesday:
— Fox’s Red Band Society aired its “fall finale” to a miserable 0.9 rating. Fox insists they’ll eventually air the remaining episodes and that season two is still under consideration, but let’s face it: If the ratings are not good enough to continue the show now, why would they be good enough to order more for next year?
— NBC’s annual Christmas at Rockefeller Center had a 1.9 rating, down 17 percent.
— ABC’s comedy block dipped to season or series lows, most notably Modern Family (2.8) down 24 percent.
More to come…
