Syfy greenlights Silicon Valley reality series 'Bazillion Dollar Club'
A million dollars isn’t cool. You know what is? According to Syfy, it’s a bazillion dollars.
Syfy announced today that it has greenlit The Bazillion Dollar Club, a six-episode series that will follow innovators hoping to make their startup the next big thing.
The series will primarily focus on Dave McClure, the founder of 500 Startups, and Brady Forrest, the man behind Highway1. McClure has invested in several hundred companies, some of which have sold for hundreds of millions of dollars. Forrest, meanwhile, has worked at several companies, including serving as vice president of Highway1, which, as part of PCH, has funded over 35 companies.
“The inventors that are part of Dave and Brady’s program are developing products and technology that seem like they are ripped straight from the world of sci-fi, but these innovations will be our future reality,” Syfy’s Heather Olander said. If that’s true, maybe they can help out with that hoverboard that’s in development.
The Bazillion Dollar Club will begin filming this year and is set to debut some time in 2015.
