Channing Tatum is getting behind the lens for his next project, an adaptation of the YA novel Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock.

Tatum will co-direct and produce the project with his partner Reid Carolin, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The book, written by Silver Linings Playbook author Matthew Quick, follows a high schooler named Leonard Peacock and his plans to kill his best friend and commit suicide.

According to THR, who first reported the news, Tatum could also star in the film, in a role decidedly more Foxcatcher than Magic Mike. No writer has been attached to the film yet.
