The Peter Pan moment continuesEW has confirmed that Melissa McCarthy will star as Tinker Bell in a movie for Fox. 

Deadline first reported the news that McCarthy was teaming with director Shawn Levy and writer Nicholas Stoller for the project. Levy directed the recently released This Is Where I Leave You and the upcoming Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, while Stoller helmed 2014 comedy hit Neighbors and co-wrote Sex Tape and the two recent Muppet movies.

Next up for McCarthy is the Paul Feig-directed Spy.
