Jon Stewart has had hundreds, if not thousands, of guests on The Daily Show, but there have been few that he develops a crush on during an interview.
Benedict Cumberbatch appeared on Stewart’s show on Nov. 18 to discuss The Imitation Game, but a high-pitched, extended series of screams greeted Cumberbatch as he walked out onto the show.
Though Stewart has kept his composure in front of just about every actor, musician, and politician imaginable, the host couldn’t help but be swept up by the outpouring of love for Sherlock Holmes.
Stewart can’t explain it, but he tells Cumberbatch that he is the first guest that Stewart wants to “rip your clothes [off] and sell it on eBay.” Cumberbatch jokes that something can be arranged after the interview, while Stewart also suggested a Kim Kardashian-style photoshoot for Cumberbatch that could end the planet may be in order.
Cumberbatch also spoke about his performance as Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, but after the initial joke about his clothing, there’s a good chance every Cumberbatch fan immediately stopped watching and began scouring eBay for even a loose thread from the suit he wore.
