News you can yell: Billy Eichner is headlining his own Hulu comedy.

The streaming service announced on Tuesday that it was giving a straight-to-series pick-up to Difficult People, which stars Eichner, of Billy on the Street fame, and Julie Klausner, Billy on the Street‘s head writer, as a pair of best friends in New York City whose “irreverent behavior lands them in some very awkward situations.”

Klausner penned the pilot and also serves as an executive producer with Parks and Recreation star/producer Amy Poehler and Dave Becky (Louie).

The show, which will begin production early next year, was originally being developed at USA Network.

Hulu is beefing up its original programming, having recently ordered the Jason Reitman-produced comedy Casual and 11/22/63, an “event” series from J.J. Abrams’ production company Bad Robot based on Stephen King’s JFK assassination thriller.
