Following a statement from Bill Cosby’s lawyer that the comedian would not respond to the “discredited” allegations of sexual abuse, another alleged victim has come forward.

In a post for Hollywood Elsewhere, Joan Tarshis claims to be another victim of Cosby. “As more and more of his rape victims have come forward, all telling similar stories,” she wrote, “the time is right to join them.”

Tarshis alleges that Cosby took a liking to her and would invite her to his room at Universal Studios in Los Angeles where he was shooting The Bill Cosby Show. In particular, she describes one night in which Cosby allegedly made her a drink in his room. Shortly after, she lost consciousness and awoke to find him undressing her and forcing her to have sex with him.

She also describes another encounter in which Cosby allegedly raped her again after a stand-up show at The Westbury Music Theater. Tarshis alleges that Cosby gave her another drink—at a time in her life at which she says she had a problem with alcohol—which caused her to lose consciousness.

Tarshis says she told no one of these alleged encounters for almost 20 years because she felt ashamed. The recent attention brought to Cosby’s alleged crimes, however, impelled her to come forward with her story.

Several other allegations against Cosby have regained prominence in recent weeks after comedian Hannibal Buress called Cosby a rapist on stage.
