Looks like the rumors were true: Matt Damon says he will be back on screen as Jason Bourne.

“It’ll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out,” Damon told E! Friday. “Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that’s all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes.”

Greengrass directed The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, the second and third films in the series. Neither Greengrass or Damon returned for the fourth and most recent film in the series, 2012’s The Bourne Legacy.

Although Damon long has been vocal about wanting to re-team with Greengrass, he’s also claimed he liked the way his character’s storyline ended in the third film. “It felt like such a good way to end it the last time,” he said of The Bourne Ultimatum on CNBC in May. “But having said that, I love that character and I’d love to see what happened to him.”
