Summer 2013 was rough for Derek Torres of the psych-pop band T0W3RS. He and his girlfriend—who was also in the group—broke up. When three more of T0W3RS’ members left amicably, only Torres remained. But instead of leaving T0W3RS’ first LP, 2012’s If All We Have Is Time, as the group’s last word, Torres returned to the one-man format he used when producing the outfit’s 2010 Summertime EP. On Nov. 11, he’ll release TL;DR via Phuzz Sounds, and EW has an exclusive album stream.

For the uninitiated, T0W3RS sounds a little like the alt-J singer joining STRFKR to cover LCD Soundsystem. Check out TL;DR‘s blend of slick vocals, shimmering guitars, and tight beats below.
