'Agent Carter' taps Bridget Regan for recurring role
Agent Carter has added Bridget Regan to its ranks.
The Legend of the Seeker alum, who recently co-starred in John Wick, has landed a recurring role as Dottie, a small-town girl from Iowa who will have a huge impact on Agent Carter’s (Hayley Atwell) life, according to Marvel.
“Bridget Regan brings the nuance and complexity of Dottie to life in a way that leaves no doubt as to her importance to Peggy,” Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb says.
Starting in January, Atwell will reprise her Captain America role in the post-WII drama, which follows Agent Carter as she navigates life after the loss of Steve Rogers, all while being marginalized at the SSR. Her life will get even more complicated after Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) is framed when his deadliest weapons and inventions are released on the black market and the elder Stark tasks Peggy with tracking them down to clear his name.
Regan, whose credits also include White Collar and Jane the Virgin, joins the previously announced cast that also includes James D’Arcy, Chad Michael Murray, Enver Gjokaj, Shea Whigham, and Lyndsy Fonseca.
Marvel’s Agent Carter will debut Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
