This week's cover: 'Ghostbusters,' 'Mean Girls,' and more reunions
It’s here—Entertainment Weekly’s annual reunions issue, bringing you reassembled casts spanning decades of the best film and TV. This year, we’ve packed the pages of our yearly double issue with exclusive shoots and sit-downs with the women of Mean Girls, the men of Monty Python, and more.
Take Little House on the Prairie, for instance, and our reunion of the residents of Walnut Grove—the Ingalls kids, town bully Nellie, and the kindly schoolteacher, to name a few—which marked the first time much of the cast had seen each other since 1991. We called up the original Ghostbusters and convinced Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Dan Aykroyd, Ivan Reitman, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts to don the famous ghost logo once more as they shared stories about auditions, the Ghostbusters legacy, and the late Harold Ramis. And if you’ve been missing The Fabulous Baker Boys, we rekindled the dynamite trio of Beau Bridges, Jeff Bridges, and Michelle Pfeiffer as they made sparks fly all over again (and not just because there was a piano in the room).
Plus, the stars of the beloved ‘90s series Sisters, 2004’s cult hit Napoleon Dynamite, and Aaron Sorkin’s dramedy Sports Night all played ball as we got them reminiscing about their favorite memories tied to production. It’s an issue you won’t want to miss.
The reunions issue hits stands Friday, but tune in to Today all week long as some of our reunited casts take the conversation even further than the pages.
