While Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. took the night off, ABC aired a retrospective of Marvel’s history in Marvel: 75 Years, From Pulp to Pop!
Tucked in among the interesting interviews with some of the biggest creators from Marvel’s past and present, the special also included a glimpse at a couple of small movies the company has coming out, The Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man.
Marvel hasn’t officially unveiled footage from Ant-Man outside of select viewings at events like New York Comic Con, but last night’s special offered a look at Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas on screen together. Marvel also debuted a few behind-the-scenes snippets of the making of Age of Ultron.
Rudd’s Scott Lang and Douglas’ Hank Pym are discussing… something, while Lang also takes a look at the Ant-Man costume for what appears to be the first time. This footage isn’t much to go off of, but it is the first time Marvel has released anything other than an image of the film. Hopefully that indicates a trailer is not too far off.
The Ultron footage doesn’t give much away either. The most prominent shot is of Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch, who does not seem to be having a fun time in the film—a sentiment that Ultron‘s first trailer certainly shares.
