Kathy Griffin reportedly offered Joan Rivers' spot on 'Fashion Police'
- TV Show
After several reports named her as a possible replacement for Joan Rivers on Fashion Police, Kathy Griffin confirmed to Access Hollywood that she was, indeed, offered a spot on the fashion talk show.
“I don’t know if the situation is correct at this time for me or right for me at this time,” Griffin said. “I really hope they continue in the spirit of Joan’s work. She brought a fearlessness and a brand of humor into our homes that we really need.”
E! announced in September that they will continue with the Fashion Police franchise in January 2015 with Oscar coverage. While media outlets were putting Griffin on the shortlist of nominees to replace Joan’s seat on Fashion Police, Griffin previously denied reports that she was contacted by E! for the show.
Fashion Police aired a 90-minute tribute in September to Rivers, which was hosted by daughter Melissa Rivers, that looked back at the comedian’s best moments on the show.
E! declined to comment on reports of Griffin’s offer.
