Kiss, Sting, 'Sesame Street' set for Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade
This year’s 88th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will feature a mix of musicians and muppets as Sting, Kiss, Idina Menzel, and the cast of Sesame Street are set to celebrate the yearly event.
According to Macy’s, the lineup will also include Quvenzhané Wallis, Renee Fleming, Meghan Trainor, Pentatonix, Miss USA 2014’s Nia Sanchez, Nick Jonas, Lucy Hale, Becky G, Hilary Duff, and more. The Philadelphia Taney Dragons, the Little League team that mesmerized audiences this summer with its star pitcher Mo’ne Davis, will lead the procession.
This year’s flood of balloons will feature six new characters, including Paddington Bear, Pokémon’s Pikachu, Pillsbury Doughboy, the Red Power Ranger, Eruptor from Skylanders, and Thomas the Tank Engine. The Today Show’s Matt Lauer, Al Roker, and Savannah Guthrie will anchor the three-hour broadcast from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m on NBC.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is set to take place Thursday, Nov. 27 at 9 a.m. in New York City and will be broadcast on NBC.
