Jake Gyllenhaal and Antoine Fuqua’s Southpaw has yet to come out, but the two are already planning another project: The Man Who Made It Snow. Gyllenhaal will star as American drug smuggler Max Mermelstein, who was “the only American alive ever admitted to the inner circle of the Colombian cocaine cartel.”
The film, which Gyllenhaal and Fuqua will also produce, has a screenplay from Brent Tabor based on Mermelstein’s autobiography. It will shoot in late 2015, according to a press release from IM Global, which is financing and co-producing the film.
