Daniel Radcliffe bans glasses, wants to 'put some distance'
Daniel Radcliffe is trying really hard to shed the Harry Potter label, so cut him some slack if he doesn’t want to wear glasses anytime soon.
In an interview with MTV News, Radcliffe talked about his relatively stable vision, though if he needs corrective lens down the line, he’s not aiming for any Potter-esque round-rimmed glasses anytime soon.
“It’s gonna be contacts or like triangular glasses or something just to really put some distance,” Radcliffe told MTV News of his avoidance of looking like the bespectacled wizard.
Radcliffe has been on a media blitz of late promoting Horns, his newest film, as well as “coming out” as a feminist, showcasing his rapping abilities with Jimmy Fallon, and not totally understanding all your Harry Potter references. Horns is a dark fantasy thriller starring Radcliffe as a young man who wakes up from a drunken slumber with horns on his forehead after he is accused of murdering his girlfriend. Guess that’s one way of distancing oneself from the wizarding world.
